New Location and New Date For Kiwanis Club of Peterborough Meetings
The Kiwanis Club of Peterborough is now holding its Kiwanis Meetings on the First Tuesday evening of every month . Our meetings are now being held at the McDonnel Street Activity Center, 577 McDonnel Street in Peterborough. (Lawn Bowling Club). Plenty of parking and a fully accessible building.
Meetings begin at 5:30 pm with full dinner being served at 5:45 pm. Cost is only $20.00 per person. A guest speaker will be featured at each meeting, followed by the Directors Meeting. At our Directors Meeting you will be able to hear what activities our club is involved in as we strive to improve the lives of children and the community we live in. Guests are always welcome.NOTE: Meetings are being held in accordance with Health Regulations and Social Distancing. Mask must be worn and are being removed during dinner, which is served by caterer.COVID-19 Checklist will be completed upon attendance.

All proceeds from the Delta Gaming and Bingo Center will be spent locally to support local initiatives undertaken by this Kiwanis Club. Recent Club Awards: The Kiwanis Club of Peterborough has recently received the Kiwanis International Distinguished Club Award which was presented on the recommendation of the Eastern Canada and Caribbean Kiwanis Governor, Mel Clarke from Bahamas. The Club also had four members who were recognized as Distinguished Members by Kiwanis International on the recommendation of Governor Mel Clarke -Bahamas, for their dedication to Kiwanis Efforts within the community.

Jan 2021- The Kiwanis Club of Peterborough is pleased to present Charitable Gaming Community Good. The new Brand Name and Logo represents the good works that happen in part, here in our community as a result of our participation in Charitable Gaming through Delta Bingo and Gaming Centre. The Kiwanis Club of Peterborough is proud to participate in Charitable Gaming through Delta Bingo and Gaming Centre. This ongoing financial support allows our Kiwanis Club to offer much needed programs and services. When we come together we make things possible for our Community.
Kiwanis Club of Peterborough Project gets published in the Kiwanis International Magazine Read about great Kiwanis projects throughout the world, including a local joint project involving the Kiwanis Club of Peterborough, Motion Cares and Camp Kawartha.. Kiwanis funding of this project was made possible through our volunteer funds raised at Delta Bingo & Gaming.
Kiwanis Support For Community Projects during COVID-19 Pandemic
The Kiwanis Club of Peterborough still is making a difference in our communities during this COVID-19 Virus outbreak. Cash donations ($2,500.00) have been made to the Kawartha Food Share. We also partnered with STAPLES for Back To School Program which saw two schools in our community receive $500.00 each for school supplies and more than $3500.00 donated to United Way of Peterborough for "Back Packs for Kids" Program. Kiwanis Club of Peterborough has also made a $2,000 donation to the St. Alphonsus School Student Breakfast Program and a $500.00 donation to Peterborough 4-H Club, with many thanks to our ongoing support from Delta Bingo & Gaming Centre. The Kiwanis Club is also contributed to the Salvation Army Christmas Hamper Program and assisted the Peterborough Petes Hockey Club in their very first Christmas Tour Parade that took place as a result of this Pandemic.
Did you know that Delta Gaming and Bingo, through the Kawartha Bingo Sponsors Association raised over $1 Million dollars in the past year, to be disbursed to local agencies/organizations. The Kiwanis Club of Peterborough wishes to thank all patrons who attend the facility, the entire Delta Bingo & Gaming staff for their ongoing generous support, not only for our Kiwanis Club but for the work that they allow all Kawartha Bingo Sponsors Association Agencies to be completed in the community. Valuable work is being accomplished in the community through the partnerships with Delta Bingo & Gaming.
