Kiwanis Club of Peterborough Partners with Motion Care's Peterborough
Camp Kawartha required assistance in the purchase of a Trail Chair for the use of physically challenged and disabaled youth so they can enjoy taking hikes on trails and going through the woods in the camp area. Our Club used funds from our DELTA BINGO & GAMING TRUST FUND and partnered with Motion Care's in Peterborough to provide the camp with a brand new Trail Chair with the Scout package (value $4,000), and a refurbished Trail Chair, so now they will have two specialized wheel chairs to benefit the hundreds of physically challenged youth who attend camp for the next 15-20years. This club project was recognized with the publishing of two articles. The EC&C Newsletter and in the International Kiwanis Magazine that is distributed to 600,000 members in our 8500 clubs in 80 Nations.
